Smith Heiress Ski Goggles Snowboarding Black Blue Mirror

January 10th, 2010 by Jenna

I’m not much of a skier, but if I were, the Smith Heiress Women’s Goggles in SouthBeach Black with Blue Sensor Mirror would be right up my alley. The bright rainbow of teal, yellow and various reds on the black frame really grabs your attention. But it’s almost mild compared to the vivid collage of colors on the adjustable band. The polycarbonate lens is shatter, scratch, and fog resistant and the bluish tint is the perfect complement to the many other colors this fine pair of eye-wear already boasts!

A double layer of foam and fleece face lining makes for a comfortable fit for small to medium faces, and Smith’s adjustable ventilation helps keeps fog at bay. With the Smith Heiress Goggles in Colorful with Sensor Chrome Mirror, us ladies can hit the slopes in style and confidence! Happy trails!

Ergonomic Flexible Keyboard Mini Waterproof Compact

December 21st, 2009 by Jenna

Whoa! I can’t believe there’s only 4 days left until Christmas! If you’re like me, you’re still scrambling around to find those last minute gifts. Fortunately for us, the KYB Flexible Keyboard w/ Waterproof Dustproof silicone is a great gift for practically anyone! It’s slim, easy to clean, portable and the vivid blue color is quite eye-catching. Even better, it’s spill proof for klutzes like me. Some of the keys are split to provide a spiffy, ergonomic design and the USB interface makes it hooking it up a snap! Just plug it in!

While the KYB Flexible Ergonomic Mini Spill-proof Keyboard is meant to be a convenient and practical device, honestly, I just like to play with it. You really haven’t lived until you’ve twisted a silicone keyboard around a few times. Just don’t get carried away, while this gadget is super durable, it is still an electronic device and not meant to be a stress ball.

Home Security w/ Wireless Internet IP Camera Motion WiFi

December 16th, 2009 by Jenna

Are you concerned about the safety of your home while at work or on vacation? Do you ever wish you could just peek in for a moment to make sure all is well? Well the Blue Jay Pan & Tilt Wireless Night Vision IP Camera allows you to do just that! It actually submits live video images from your home directly to your computer, enabling you to keep an eye on either your home anytime. And while very effective during the day, it’s also great at night as it features six infrared LED lights that make for a clear view of your home even in the dark.

The Blue Jay Wireless Internet Camera with Wi-Fi can control up to four cameras from any computer. With features like email screen shot delivery and remove video surveillance via the internet, you can decide how often and how long you’d like to check things out on the home front. The pan/tilt function allows you to go up, down, right, left or just cruise right there from whatever computer you’re using. It stores real time video with playback so if anything ever does happen, you have the evidence at your fingertips. It’s also quite useful for showing Sparky the rock hard evidence that yes, you know he’s the one digging in the trash, and that innocent “Who, me!?” look he gives you when you come home isn’t fooling anyone.

The Blue Jay BCN-501 Pan & Tilt Wireless IP CCTV Camera is super easy to install. It simply connects right to your local network or Ethernet connection and supports 802.11b/g wireless connection. I’m hardly a technical genius and even I could figure this one out. So go ahead and grab yours today, both for home security and/or to spy on the husband and kids playing video games when they should be doing their chores. Allow yourself to rest easy knowing all is well at home, and in the event that it’s not, you’ve got it all on camera!

Klipsch Synergy F-1 Speakers Floorstanding Black Review

December 9th, 2009 by Jenna

I just realized that hardly anyone one visits me anymore! I think it’s either because I’m boring or my house is boring. Not architecturally, but entertainment wise. I’ll admit, my book collection isn’t exactly a real thrill for guests. While at the movies the other night, my mind got to wandering during the trailers and I started thinking, “Besides putting in a built in pool or having a roller coaster  installed on the roof, what’s a good and more realistic way to make my place a fun hang out for me and my guests. As the opening credits rolled across the screen, it hit me like a brick. A HOME THEATER!

I have the perfect set up. A large finished basement, a big screen TV with an audio output for external speakers, and a DVD Player. (No, I’m not up with the whole instant movie thing yet.) Insert some dimmable lights, a few theater seats and a great sound system and I’m good to go! The dimmable lights are easy. My cousin, a building contractor can take care of that for me. The theater seating… well, that’s a little more challenging. You can find them in sets of two for around $600 - $800 but my budget isn’t quite ready for that. I think I’ll hold out for some used or wait for a good clearance sale. In the meantime, the couch will do just fine.

For the sound system, I know exactly what I want. The Klipsch Synergy F-1 Floorstanding Loudspeakers Speakers! A single speaker retails for $300, but today here at SizzleTwist.com, we’re selling a single speaker for only $169.99, which means a pair would run $339.98, only $40.00 more than a single Klipsch Synergy F1 Floorstanding Speaker retails! And with when you enter the coupon code “freeship” while placing your order, you get free shipping on any order over $99.00. This means that for $340.00, you can have a set of these great speakers delivered to your door. Try to find a cheaper price, I dare ya! But stock is limited, and I already have my name on a pair, so if your television has an audio output for external speakers, and you want to be cool like me, you’d better check it out sooner than later!

SOG Trident Knife - Perfect Gift for your Military Man

December 8th, 2009 by Jenna

When I was first introduced to the SOG Trident Straight Edge Knife by my military obsessed co-worker, my first thought was, “RUN!” However not wanting him to mistake me for a moving target, I remained calm and feigned interest. Mistaking my self-preservation tactics for genuine enthusiasm, he proudly went in to the history of the widget. He explained that the SOG Specialty Knives and Tools Company was named after the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG), a specialized joint US Military group formed in 1964 to carry out secret operations during the Vietnam war. Authorized to develop their own equipment, the MACV-SOG created several specialized knives to use in some of the most grueling areas of the world.

In honor of these brave men, and the quality supplies they developed, the SOG Specialty Knives and Tools Company was founded in 1986. This award winning company is known for producing products of exceptional quality and strength, and the SOG Trident Straight Edge Knife (US Navy Seals)
is by no means an exception. With assisted opening, a comfortable grip, and a super sharp blade, this tactical knife is great for simple tasks such as cutting fishing wire or opening boxes, to thicker rope and those impossible to open plastic packages so common this time of year. For all of our honorable Civil Servants and members of the Armed Services, the knife is a decent size, yet still easily concealable by clipping it to your belt so only the clip is visible to the public. For the rest of you, check with your state’s laws before attempting any James Bond type of accessorizing.
By the time my co-worker was finished with show and tell, I was surprised to find I actually was interested in the SOG Trident Straight Edge Knife. Not for me, as I prefer my tools and weapons to be pink, but for my father, a retired Army Veteran who bravely served our nation in Vietnam. (Thanks, Dad!) You know, we get so busy this time of year, we don’t often take the time out to really consider the sacrifices of our military. So many won’t be coming home for Christmas this year, and sadly, some won’t be coming home at all, having made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the season, I encourage you to take a few moments, stop what you’re doing, and pray for the brave men and women of our military. May God bless them, comfort them and warm them with his love this wondrous holiday season.

Memorex 2GB MP3 Player Video MP4 w/ Rechargeable Battery

December 7th, 2009 by Jenna

So the company Christmas gift exchange is coming up next week and you don’t have a clue what to get, do you? With a price limit between $20.00 and $25.00, the options sure seem limited. And if your gift exchange is one where the gifts get passed around the table in some sort of festive game, you have absolutely no way of knowing who’s going to end up with yours so it really does have to be one of those one size fits all things.

Well look no further! The Memorex 2GB MP3 Player With Video is a nifty little gadget for co-workers of all ages! It’s rechargeable, can hold 500 - 1,000 songs and is compatible with most subscription music services. The 1.5 inch color screen is a great way to view images, and the sound quality is surprisingly good for such a tiny player. And even better, if your office gift recipient can’t use it, they surely know someone in their family who can. How empty would Christmas be if it wasn’t for re-gifting! So stop looking at those stale cocoa mug sets and grab yours today!

Graco Baby Monitor w/ Vibrating parent unit & Belt Clip

December 2nd, 2009 by Jenna

Ah babies. Although I don’t have any, I do occasionally partake in the free trial program, generously provided my my brother and his wife. While I absolutely loved borrowing their Bebe Sounds Portable Wireless LCD Video Baby Monitor, (which you can read all about right here) upon learning about my friend Amber’s new coming bundle of joy, I figured it was time Aunt Jenna bite the bullet and get her own baby monitor. Using 2 year old N-LEN (Non Lint Eating Nephew) as my Guinea Pig, I put the Graco iMonitor Digital Audio Baby Monitor to the test.

I set N-LEN up in the baby proof spare room and asked him to start building blocks while I tested the new “thing” and I would be right back to join him. He’s an independent little guy so he didn’t mind a bit. He plopped right down in front of the blocks and began stacking them right away. While the Graco Digital Vibrating Parent Unit Baby Monitor doesn’t have video, it is super small and the signal is amazing. The 2,000 foot range allowed me to clip it to my belt and run all around the house and even venture outside all the while to listen to N-LEN and the blocks with no static or reception problems at all. The sound is so crystal clear and I could hear each little tap of each block he stacked. In fact, it picks up sound so well, I about jumped out of my skin when N-LEN must have stacked the blocks too high and they came tumbling down. There was a loud “CRASH” and N-LEN’s cute little, “Oh noooooooooooo!” Then a sigh and more tapping of blocks as he started over. I also tested the vibration feature and sure enough, it worked great. I imagine that feature would best be used during dinner or when friends are over.

It has a rechargeable battery in the parent unit as well as low battery signal so you know ahead of time when you’re running low on juice. The only thing I didn’t like about it was hearing my annoyingly loud voice echoing out of my belt when I returned to join N-LEN for some heavy duty block building. Do I really sound a tad nasaly? I immediately turned it off because, well, I don’t want to find out!
